If Bloodborne and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice are excluded, Eldon Ring Without a doubt the fastest Souls game in the traditional sense from FromSoftware. It’s basically a faster version of Dark Souls 3, even though it may not have the same franchise name.
But what if you could bring some of Bloodborne and Sekiro’s faster traits: Shadows Die Twice into the Elden Ring to speed up the fight? Even?
More specifically, turning standard scrolling into the trot/dodge that both games enjoy. That’s exactly what Modder Nmsl2018 offers to replace the light scroll animation with the Sekiro step and the medium scroll (yes, that’s the full name) with the Bloodborne step.
As the descriptive name reveals, this mod does replace Elden Ring’s two scrolling animations. The fastest rolls (achieved by lower heavyweights) are now Sekiro’s trot. Medium Roll has been replaced with Bloodborne Dodge.
Heavy roll remains the same, but given the issues caused by fat roll, most players only really stick to the early two weight classes. The mod can be downloaded at the link above, which also includes installation instructions (there’s even an automatic patch!)
Of course, when playing mods, you should always stick to offline play. Elden Ring’s anti-cheat feature does a good job of detecting modified files as threats, which could get you banned.
