Valorant confirms Battle Pass and details of his cosmetics store

He tells us Joe Lee, the head of the revenue team of Valorant, that the game will have a Battle Pass that we can expect to follow the line of other free to play titles of the moment, such as Fortnite, Apex Legends or COD: Warzone. However, it is important to note that the Battle Pass (or History contract, as they want to call it) only be available once the official launch occurs from Valorant. That is, during the closed beta it will not start.

Lee mentions regarding shopping a very relevant aspect: "The most important thing for us is to create a great game. Your collection of optional content will never affect the gaming experience.". Although the company wants offer premium content to give the opportunity to collect and personalize your games. In this way there are two types of coins.

• VALORANT Points (PV): the premium currency with which you will unlock content. The only way to get PV is to buy them for real money through the VALORANT client.
• The radianite points: They serve to offer a way to evolve certain weapon designs. The first level of customization is unlocked by taking the design. Afterwards, you can invest radianite points to unlock each additional level, which includes new customization aspects such as visuals, sound effects, unique finishing effects and certain variants. The main way to get radianite points is the battle pass, but you can get more in the store.

The store's firearm and melee weapon designs go rotating in two sections, "Featured" and "Offers". The Featured Items section changes every two weeks, while offers vary every two to three days.

The characteristics of a weapon can change when a special design is applied to them (the model, the animation, the visual and sound effects), although these characteristics should not offer advantages of any kind to the players. Lee stresses that: "If we discover that some design does not conform to this maxim, we want you to know that it was by mistake and we will adjust it as soon as possible".

On the other hand, another way to get cosmetics are agent contracts.

• All players: They will be able to progress in a maximum of two contracts at the same time.
• All EXP earned: In games and when completing missions, the same applies to both contracts, so you do not have to choose if you prefer to unlock an agent or get the rewards of the battle pass.
• The first contract gap: is reserved for an initial pass or for an agent contract.
• The new players: receive an initial 10-level pass.
• Complete this pass: allows you to unlock two agents of your choice. Once you have completed it, you can equip an agent contract and start earning specific rewards for that agent.
• The second hole: it corresponds to the battle pass or, in terminology, the history contract. You can progress through the levels of this contract and get rewards at all times.

Each agent has a 10 level contract which, when completed, grants you a wide variety of special items and, most importantly, a new agent. You can reach level 5 by playing or paying the agent directly. From there, levels 6-10 you will have to unlock them.
