Riot Games will give the starting signal for Episode 8 Act I in the online shooter Valorant on January 9, 2024 – and players can expect new content again! With the Outlaw there is a completely new weapon that will be released in the course of this. This is the first weapon to be added to the title since the original 2020 release.
The Outlaw is a double-barreled, high-hit damage sniper rifle aimed at risk-taking players. For the release of the Wumme there is also a bundle called “Throwback Pack: Outlaw”. This celebrates the early days of Valorant and revives some of the game’s first skin series, Prism/Reloaded and Ego, as well as three accessories.
Episode 8 Act I also features the Kuronami skin series and a new Battle Pass. Kuronami is based on the martial arts of ninjas. Kerwin Atienza, Art Direction Senior Manager, says: “With Kuronami, we wanted players to feel like trained assassins mastering the power of the elements. In terms of design, we imagined how the ninjas of old would feel with “We would make weapons using the materials available today. Above all, we wanted the weapons to feel sharp, defined, sharp, edgy and deadly.”
Weapons included in the skin series are the Vandal, Specter, Sheriff, Marshal and the melee weapon Kuronami no Yaiba.
The Battle Pass contains new items such as the Fiber Optic Ghost, the Tactiplay Phantom, the Guardrail Hammer and the Sunny Side Talisman. Also included are the Graffiti Journey Bear, Cuteness Overload, the player cards Shot in the Dark, Chrysalis, You Wanna Bet?, VERSUS // Viper + Omen, Epilogue: Synced Swag, as well as the talismans Flash Blades, Ducky on Swing and Epilogue: Sunny Side.
