Riot Games’ competitive FPS is finally available on PS5 and Xbox Series! Without warning, the game left the open beta ph ase on August 2nd after several weeks of testing. For those who have been playing since the closed beta, there will be some changes. Otherwise, Valorant will remain as it is. The announcement of its official arrival should be made by 6 p.m.
Valorant finally appears on consoles
For several weeks, Valorant has been enjoying happy days on PS5 and Xbox Series. The very, very solid console versions work wonderfully and have already found an audience. As a reminder, the game is a competitive FPS halfway between Counter-Strike 2 and Overwatch2. We face each other in round-robin games and every ball counts. Lots of excitement, lots of strategy, Valorant is a hit on the PC and now also on the console. Riot Games has registered more than 27 million players in 2023, a number that is constantly growing. The game has also exploded in the eSp orts scene and is now a must-have.
With its re-release on consoles, Valorant is taking a new step. Contrary to what many feared, the PS5 and Xbox Series version is extremely solid. The sensations are excellent and just as precise as on PC. In addition, console players, whether on PlayStation or Xbox, will be able to play together in crossplay. Of course, there is no crossplay between consoles and PC, but the two versions of the game will evolve well together.
This is the biggest change on the console, because if Valorant previously had its own rhythm on PS5 and Xbox Series, it will now stick to the PC version. Both will evolve simultaneously. Updates, events, added content… from now on everything will be synchronized. We can therefore expect very regular monitoring, which is excellent news. And remember: of course, everything is free. As on the PC, Valorant is free to play which only exploits its cosmetic dimension and is also a perfect accessory.
