CS: GO competitor Valorant relies on a rather small content package for the release. Only one mode and four maps will be included in the Free2Play launch in summer 2020. Specifically, players become the same 5v5 bomb mode we already tried out for our preview preview of Valorant.
However, are for a later date other modes for Riot's tactical shooter in the pipeline. In an interview, map designer and former CS professional Sal Garozzo told us that the developers talked about different modes, including something that is reminiscent of the Gunfight mode in CoD: Modern Warfare:
"We talked internally about a 2v2 mode so that we have an exciting format for smaller teams. Fun modes like Deathmatch are also under discussion, for example to be able to practice weapons. These are things that we talked about and that are maybe one day. "
At launch, however, the one bomb mode remains. As Riot explained, the manageable content was intended to ensure that players really learn all the tricks and possibilities on the four maps in order to increase Valorant's competitive standard.

Valorant – The LoL makers attack CS: GO and could win!
Valorant will target the largest possible audience with low system requirements and a Free2Play model. The low entry threshold also ensures that Valorant is visually unappealing.
But the map design is also kept as simple as possible to improve the competitiveness of Valorant.
