Riot Games is once again giving its online shooter Valorant a new skin series: this time Primordium takes you into demonic worlds.
With Episode 8 Act II, Riot Games is launching a new skin series in the long-running and successful title Valorant. This is called Primordium and takes up a demonic theme. In addition to regular weapon skins, a Primordium bundle also includes a new melee archetype: the double sword. In addition, there is of course a fresh Battle Pass in the new act.
The Primordium skin series is inspired by ancient demonic creatures made of lava and brimstone. The lava theme of the weapons changes organically as the intensity of the game increases or decreases. The skin bundle also contains an Easter egg that transports you to a different world for each finisher variant. The skin series includes the Vandal, Phantom, Specter, Shorty and a new double sword melee weapon. In addition to individual firing sounds for the firearms, melee combat receives new attack, running and equipment animations.
Jean Luc Tin Sive, Valorant’s Senior Game Producer, comments on the new skin series: “With this skin series, we wanted the weapons to change visually depending on the player’s actions. We had the idea that the creature/demon on The weapon gets more and more ‘angry’ the more the person attacks and fires the weapon. Thematically, we rooted it in Dark Fantasy, knowing how much our players liked Prelude to Chaos. We have a new melee archetype (dual swords) designed with a unique running animation to reinforce that commanding feeling players should have as they charge onto the battlefield.”
The new Battle Pass, which is also available, brings you numerous new items, including the Retrowave revolver, the Shellspire sword and the Sending Love graffiti.
