EA and Koei Tecmo have unveiled their feudal, Japan-inspired Monster Hunter: Wild Hearts. Today the hunting game returns to reveal its gameplay in broad daylight.
7 minutes of gameplay for Wild Hearts
Will Wild Hearts be a serious competitor to Monster Hunter? While EA waits for a grab to get an opinion, EA just shared seven minutes of gameplay of their new hunting game. As in Capcom’s flagship franchise, players must roam a world where towering creatures reign supreme. To tame this universe in the grip of chaos, alone or in cooperation, players can count on Karakuris. Sophisticated mechanisms for crafting various structures that can weaken enemies or help the character gain altitude.
This essential tool is also particularly useful for getting around by creating platforms or even zip lines. Flexibility and creativity are the keywords to get the most out of the hunting ground. Despite this small originality, it is difficult to avoid comparison with Monster Hunter. Like its inspiration, Wild Hearts requires breaking parts of monster bodies, knocking them over, or even dazing them. The game will likely stand out for its particularly well-done artistic direction, which comes into its own in the flowery terrain of the Hanagasumi Hills. As a reminder, Wild Hearts will be available on February 17th, 2023 on PS5, Xbox Series and PC.
