In Vessel of Hatred you can buy powerful items directly from a merchant.
Why do we slaughter our way through armies of demons and monsters in Diablo 4? Like to save the world? Pah! Of course, it’s about getting the most valuable items and making our build even stronger – to heat up the opponents even more efficiently.
With the major story expansion Vessel of Hatred, there is now a new way to get rare armor, weapons and jewelry. And no one should miss it!
Lots of loot at a ridiculous price
In order to use the new farming method, we first have to unlock the new mercenaries in Vessel of Hatred. To do this, we simply follow the story campaign until we get to the mercenaries’ hideout. Here we can recruit the four new companions each with a quest. We’ll explain what they can do in a separate article.
Fayira will be available once you have unlocked the shelter.
There is also the trader Fayira in the hideout and we can purchase rare and sometimes particularly powerful items from her at any time. However, only when one of your mercenaries has reached report level five. Among other things, there are important ones in their offer Crafting materials, aspects, and even ancestral items with affixes several times larger.
However, to really benefit, a little more work is necessary:
- To get the best deals from the retailer, you have to Level up all four mercenaries first. To do this, you simply take them with you on your travels and kill as many monsters as possible; the rental blades that accompany you will then quickly rise in the rapport level.

Of course, there are also various strategies that you can use to get pale characters particularly quickly. Diablo expert Rob has even published his own video on this topic in which he gives some tips. We would like to briefly explain the most important ones to you.

- Not only take a main mercenary with you, but also fill the second support slot with another mercenary.
- Play alone instead of in a group, because then your mercenaries will level up faster.
- It’s best to use the Hell Floods to increase the rank of your mercenaries as quickly as possible.
- It is particularly worth choosing the mercenary Subo as a companion. With his passive ability

You will receive 200 Pale Marks for each mercenary rank increase. Since items from the dealer usually only cost 10 to 50 characters, you can quickly bag a lot of valuable items. You can also renew the offer at any time for 50 Pale Signs.
In order to get as far as Diablo streamer Rob, you will of course have to invest a lot of time using this farming method. The streamer has amassed a five-figure amount of Pale Signs, but it also took him around seventy hours to do so. But he now probably has more of the currency than he can even spend in a hurry.
