A diffuse disruption appears to be at least partially affecting data traffic in the Vodafone-Unitymedia network. The data is now flowing smoothly again.

As steep as the curve for fault reports has risen – more than 20,000 reports were received by the various Vodafone detectors within a few minutes – it falls again after the high peak: the fault in Vodafone Unitymedia’s cable network became apparent shortly after midnight on April 28th Fixed.

Suddenly nothing works anymore with the Vodafone cable connection of the Netzwelt employee. Firstly, it turns out that very occasionally something is still possible. Secondly, but also that it does not only affect the connection of the employee.
According to Netzwelt’s speed test, the upload of the connection in particular was blocked. A few kilobytes seem to go over the ether every now and then, because occasionally it is possible to call up individual websites, Google is one of them.
Vodafone’s mobile network, on the other hand, works perfectly, albeit a little slowly. This will be due to the fact that quite a few are switching data traffic to the mobile network because their home WLAN is no longer working. The faults reported there cannot be confirmed at the employee’s location and may be due to a mix-up of brand names.
The dynamics in the fault indicator and the coloring of the fault map speak for a nationwide fault, there are also many current reports on Twitter, there is talk of disrupted IPv6 traffic:
