In case you missed it, Capcom accidentally revealed yesterday that the original Dead Rising is getting a remake. The remake is called Dead Rising Deluxe Remastered, and your first chance to see anything about the game, aside from the initial trailer, will be during the publisher’s just-announced summer Capcom Next showcase.
While it’s not the only game making an appearance, it’s fair to say that the remake will be the star of this wonderful little broadcast, and you’ll probably feel either “eh, Frank looks weird now” or “you know, I don’t mind the way Frank looks now” more than a few times before it’s over.
You will be able to watch the Summer 2024 edition of Capcom Next July 1 at 3pm PT, 11pm BST and 6pm ET. All you have to do is hit the play button on the video above when the time comes, and you’ll be immersed in the video game.
25 minutes of video games, to be exact, with “first-hand details” about the Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, news about Guoshi: Path of the Goddess, and the iPhone, iPad, and Mac versions of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. Capcom blithely announced that “the event will not include news or updates on other games,” and specifically mentioned Monster Hunter Wildlands on the webpage.

Maybe we’ll get some gameplay or a release date for the remaster, but at least a hint as to which platforms it’ll be coming to sounds like a decent minimum if the first two things aren’t there.
