It’s Friday. It’s been a long week with a lot going on in the world. So we all need a little “timeline cleaning”, right? Well, let us show you a professional dog show featuring Chihuahua little Lilip.
Yes, you read that right. Someone attended Crufts – a very serious British dog show designed to highlight the “best” (or inbreeding, depending on your perspective) of dog breeds – showcasing the iconic Pokemon anime music and some of the themes from the game Routines, too.
As you can see in the video embedded above, when we’re talking about Pokemon, trainer – or is it the proper term trainer? – Takes her dog Lavender Lillipup to the arena to demonstrate heel exercises based on Pokemon music (thanks, @@Sean Baptiste
The savvy Pokemaniacs among you may have noticed that even the dog’s name is a reference to Pokemon, specifically Pokemon #506, Lillipup – the Beagle introduced in Gen 5.
This is Jenny’s first dog in the race (!), which makes the whole routine even more impressive. For me, some of the personal highlights from this routine include: Lillipip jumping on the trainer’s back, Lillipip knocking down a cardboard fire-breathing dragon, Lillipip and Jenny doing to the lyrics “There’s no better team than this” A little high five, and the elevator on her feet as Jenny gives the dog an orgasm and walks with the puppy.
I have a rescue dog that I can barely train to not eat it when the mail goes through the door, so seeing someone train a gorgeous crossbreed (so, not inbred) dog like this gives me hope. Maybe I’ll rename him Growlithe and try to get him to do dog dressage in response to this, I’m so encouraged!
For now, though, I just want to replay the video again — and revel in the routine of having Crufts jumping and spinning in 2022. I’m guessing showing off dogs doing ridiculous things to Pokemon music is Jenny’s real quest…training them is her business.
