The release of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is getting closer and the anticipation is growing. Saber Interactive has now announced what will happen after the launch.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is finally coming out on September 9th and the lively third-person battleground looks promising so far. To increase the anticipation a little more, Saber Interactive has now presented the roadmap for the post-launch content.
Season 1 starts right with the launch, and the developers want to collect further feedback from players during that time. The second season will start between October and December. It will not only include new cosmetics for season pass holders, but also new content such as a new operations map, a new enemy, a harder difficulty level, a new weapon and various other improvements.
At least two more seasons will follow in 2025. Season 3 includes a new PvE mission, a PvP game mode, new PvP arenas, a new enemy, PvE prestige ranks and more cosmetics. Season 4 already has a Horde mode, a new enemy and a new weapon. Season pass holders will also receive additional cosmetic items here.
It should be noted that all season content will be added to the game as free updates. The season pass itself only includes cosmetic items. That’s more than fair.
In Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 you take on the role of a Space Marine, one of the Imperium’s deadliest warriors. The game continues the story of Lieutenant Titus, who fights against the hordes of Tyranids and Chaos Marines. The gameplay offers third-person action with deadly skills and devastating weapons against countless enemies. You can play the campaign alone or in co-op mode with up to two friends. There are also various PvE and PvP modes.
