There are references to give and give away in Kimetsu No Yaibaknown as Demon Slayer o Guardians of the Night. There are so many that even the official series itself has a section to tell rumors about the time in which it is set and the different characters that appear in each episode. They are found after the ending of each one and many people make the mistake of skipping them.
The fourth episode of Season 2, also known as the Infinity Train Arc, features a rumor about Inosuke Hashibira's crow, the demon hunter who carries a boar's head and two jagged swords. If you look closely, he appears very little, almost nothing, and that's because he was once about to die.
His name is Dongurimaru and usually accompanies Inosuke from a distance in the most literal sense possible. We assume that it is always present, even if we do not see it. He stays away, unlike Tanjiro's crow and Zenitsu's sparrow, because his owner once tried to eat him. He learned his lesson quickly thanks to his great intelligence, but he never abandoned his companion.
“He's always around and you don't let him out of your sight, but he goes undercover because Inosuke tried to eat him once,” Tanjiro says in the rumors section of the episode. Despite this, no one judges him or holds a grudge against him. After all, knowing it means seeing this as the most normal thing in the world. Not that he does it maliciously, considering his wild origins.
