Independent studio Funktronic Labs has announced today that its weaponized skate video game, Wave break, launch this summer at Stadia, Google's cloud gaming platform, for a price of 29.99. It is a temporary exclusive, since Wave break also is planning to be released on PC through steam, but nothing has been confirmed from his arrival at Valve's digital store.
To announce this novel exclusivity deal, Funktronic Labs has released a new video showing a little more gameplay than Wave break in summary: we can see its control of characters, its levels, its menu of improvements and many other things more
Like Tony Hawk's Pro Skater but with speedboats and submachine guns
Wave break is an action and platform video game that its developers joke with calling it a 'skate game'; actually its mechanics resemble those of the titles of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, but the characters are not human skaters, but animal creatures, and instead of skates they have motorboats.
The aesthetics of Wave break takes us back to that particular imagery of Miami of the eighties, with their boats, their paddle nen colors (here a little more flattened, to tell the truth), and his shirtless characters showing chest between Caribbean patterns. Evidently it is a game over-the-top
In Wave break we can play both alone, in a singleplayer campaign mode, and with friends and rivals in competitions both online and locally
