Nintendo has finally responded to a major request from Pokemon fans everywhere with an official pokemon forum July 4th.
While it was a good idea, things seemed to go off track a bit quickly in Nintendo’s eyes, leading to threads and some bans being removed.
On the forums, topics currently range from favorite Pokemon to favorite beginners, and then there are topics about favorite mid-evolutions and favorite types of Pokemon. Everything is fairly safe and ordinary.
At one point, however, some rather silly and amusing forum posts were made that Nintendo apparently didn’t like, so they were pulled–at least we couldn’t find them anywhere. Thankfully, the internet never forgets.
Here’s one: “Which Pokémon is best at operating a modern 25L-7 forklift?” And another: “Which Pokémon would you eat for lunch?”.
What are our answers to these questions? I’d say the first is Snorlax – if he can stay awake long enough to get the job done. As for the second, the trumpet buds. perhaps. I don’t know though, Miltank, Bouffalant and Tauros look really pretty on a plate next to baked potatoes and rolls.
Another post didn’t ask a question, but an opinion: “I think in the next game, Geeta and Rika should kiss and get married, and then [then] Play Fortnite together” (thanks GamesRadar).
As of press time, we’re trying to find more interesting Pokemon forum threads, but sadly, there don’t seem to be any. However, the forum is still young, and we’re sure people will keep the moderators busy in the days and months ahead. It could even take a few years if Nintendo doesn’t give up and shut down the project.
What kind of forum thread would you start? We might ask silly questions like “Why do some creatures look like they’re wearing bras?” – because it’s true.
