if you want to see if The last of us part 1 is a game worth remastering, and if you’re a PS Plus Premium member, you can try a two-hour trial right now.
Last night, at the unholy hour of 2am GMT, Sky aired the first episode of HBO’s The Last of Us, and based on the reviews (which apparently none of them experienced), the show seemed to skyrocket to Best live-action video game adaptation tops Sonic the Hedgehog 2’s dated dance fight scene). None of us at iGamesNews have seen it yet, so we can’t tell you what it’s like, but we did really like The Last of Us Part 1, and Tom gave it a perfect score in his review. So if you stayed up watching the show but haven’t played the remake yet, and you subscribe to PS Plus Premium, we can tell you how to spend a few hours tonight.
As Eurogamer kindly pointed out, premium subscribers can currently spin The Last Of Us Part 1 for two hours thanks to its trial feature. In case you didn’t know, Premium Members get access to a variety of trials, which include games like Horizon Forbidden West, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, and Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection. Essentially, they are paid demos that you can only play once.
Still, two hours might be enough to help you decide if you want to enjoy the finale of Part 1, since you can sit through that dramatic opening and get a little taste of the post-apocalyptic world too.
Watching the show might also be a great way to pass the time while you wait for the standalone multiplayer game, which recently shared a small teaser image, but that’s about it.
