Many fans have certainly been looking forward to the Apple event on September 7, 2022 for a long time. After all, the group’s keynote is one of the hottest tech events of the year. And despite or perhaps because of the previous leaks, we have high hopes for the spectacle next month.
What new products does Apple have in store for this year? We’ve been asking ourselves this question for quite some time, because the rumor mill is bubbling away. Pretty sure not all leaks of the past few months will be correct. Nevertheless, it has now become common for many supposed leaks and rumors to hit the mark even before such an event, leaving little room for surprises.

The iPhone 14 Pro sets itself apart
Apple will introduce the new iPhone 14 (Pro) on September 7th – that’s as certain as amen in church. This year, the Pro model will apparently differ even more from the standard version.
This should neither get the new always-on display nor the so-called Pile-Hole
, a camera cutout on the front for Face ID in the shape of a pill. You can only admire both on the iPhone 14 Pro. The iPhone 14 (Max), on the other hand, retains the notch to celebrate its five-year anniversary.
The 14-series processor is also likely to improve, but again, it depends on the model. According to the leaker Ming Chi Kuo on Twitter Apple shouldn’t be able to produce processors with a 3 nanometer production this year, or rather the supplier TSMC.
Presumably, Apple will therefore only install the well-known A15 bionic chip in the normal iPhone 14 models, while the iPhone 14 Pro will have a slightly improved A16 processor. Accordingly, the increase in performance and performance would be less than hoped for.
The more powerful wide-angle camera should also be reserved for the Pro series and have a resolution of 48 megapixels and a larger sensor. A number of features that Apple could justify with a price increase.
While the camera adjustments may seem marginal, we’re excited to see what the company behind Tim Cook can do with the tech.
What else is there to say about the regular iPhone 14? A Max version with a size of 6.7 inches is to be released this year. So far, such a chunk was only intended for the more expensive iPhones. People with a preference for smaller smartphones must now be strong: Apple seems to be completely canceling an iPhone 14 Mini, which is probably due to the low sales figures for the iPhone 13 Mini.
In our editorial office, too, some colleagues are dissatisfied with the supposedly missing mini model. Finally, all they can do is hope for a revised SE variant that resembles the 13-Mini.
Would you rather buy the still current iPhone 13? Then take a look at this offer:
The next generation of AirPods Pro
The AirPods Pro have been on the market for three years. This year there could finally be a new model! In addition to improved audio features, we may be able to look at one enjoy the new look
According to this linked report, the new earplugs could Apple Lossless-Audio-Code
(ALAC for short) support. Accordingly, the AirPods Pro receive lossless audio and would be the first product to receive Apple’s own codec. It will be interesting to see how Apple addresses the fact that Bluetooth headphones are known to suffer from audio quality compression.
Will the AirPods Pro wireless case remain the same? The handy shelter of the two headphones could also be slightly improved this year. About the Where is?
app, so far only sounds have been output via the two earphones. Stupid only if the case gets lost. Possibly starting this year, the case will also be found via a sound in case we ever lose it.
Is the Apple Watch Pro coming?
In addition to the Series 8 and the SE, a special version of the wristwatch should be in the limelight: The Rugged
– or Pro Edition. This model should primarily be aimed at athletes and athletes, as from one Bloomberg report emerges.
According to the magazine, the Pro version of the watch is said to be around two inches larger than the other models. The glass also offers shatterproof protection and the housing is made of strong metal Mark Gurman von Bloomberg.
As expected, Apple will certainly not underestimate the price of such a version. Mark Gurman expects the purchase price to be between 900 and 999 US dollars. If the journalist were right, the pricing would be well above Samsung’s Watch 5 Pro. The starting price here is $450.
The normal Series 8 is to be equipped with a new processor, the S8 chip. According to the Bloomberg article above, significant improvements in terms of performance and battery life are unfortunately not to be expected. An upgrade of the Series 6 or 7 is therefore likely to have a rather marginal impact. The new sensor to monitor blood pressure, is not expected this year.
However, a temperature sensor is to be integrated into the Apple Watch 8. The new sensor should make it possible to tell if we have a fever.
A new SE version is set to replace the five-year-old Series 3 this year. The revised version may also come with the S8 chip. However, the innovations stop here, because the display size should remain true to the current SE model.
Release date for iOS 16
We also expect that Apple will finally announce the final date for iOS 16 at the event. The beta has been publicly available for a long time. So we already know what we can definitely look forward to. In addition to the customizable lock screen and controversial battery indicator, the messaging app is getting an update to edit sent texts.
Notifications are shown at the bottom of the screen in the new version. A live activity tracking widget is also attached to the lock screen.
We may also learn the launch date of WatchOS 9. The update brings us new running metrics, reminders for medication, monitoring of sleep stages and improved customization of the watch face, among other things.
Do you also already know the new photo functions in iOS 16? Cutting out motifs will soon be child’s play and really impressed us in a hands-on test:
iOS 16 offers many new photo features, but one in particular caught my eye
What about with you? Which possible performances are you particularly excited about? Have you already entered the date in your calendar or are you feeling cold about the event anyway? Let us know!
