A few months ago Hunter and his boys hung up their helmets to finally rest after years of war and hardship. The animated series of La Remesa Mala or The Bad Batch It ended on May 1, 2024 and we have greatly missed Clone Force 99 ever since.
Many fans have asked for the return of The Bad Consignment and their wishes have been heard… although perhaps not in the way they expected. Indeed, Hunter and company will return to the fray, although not in an animated series. In January 2025 they will put on their armor again for a new story in a comic series.
This return will take place during the comic miniseries called Star Wars: Hyperspace Stories: The Bad Batch: Ghost Agents. There will be five issues written by Michael Moreci, illustrated by Reese Hannigan, Elisabetta D’Amico and Michael Atiyeh and published by Dark Horse Comics. “I think everyone who knows my work on Star Wars knows that I love the Clone Wars,” says Moreci
In Star Wars: Hyperspace Stories: The Bad Batch: Ghost Agents, they are on a mission to hunt down the mysterious Separatist ghost agent who executed a daring heist on Coruscant. The thief’s trail leads Hunter, Wrecker, Crosshair and Tech to the seediest corners of the galaxy, a place where kingpins and thugs threaten the clones’ mission… and their lives!
At least the first story is set before the final events of the animated series. We will not add more to avoid spoilers, but it will be obvious to those who finished the last season of the series on Disney Plus. We do not have information about the four remaining issues, but it should not take long for us to know their synopses and release dates.
