We urgently need to… scream about these games based on films and series, because it was pretty loud in the celebrations in Munich. That’s where we celebrated the release of our new YouTube channel GameStar Talk with you on March 25th! To mark the occasion, what could be better than a live podcast with our favorite podcast community (yes, we mean you!)?
Since we were on stage with our podcast colleagues Marco and Yves from Nerd & Kultur, we decided on the ultimate podcast symbiosis: first the two podcasted about films about games – and then we took over the helm to talk about games nerd to films and series.
And of course, as promised, you can now find this recording as a recording – if you weren’t able to join us that evening or simply want to enjoy the podcast again.
- Michael Graf comes with a game that was better than the movie, one that was worse than the movie… and one that he wishes had been a movie.
- Geraldine Hohmann talks about a film gamble that was, in a fascinating way, an absolute total disaster, a film gamble that left a lasting impression on her, and one that she’s not yet quite sure how she’ll become.
In this podcast we get a bit emotional – sometimes with enthusiasm, sometimes with anger, for example when Micha claims again that Goofy and Donald have never met in the Disney universe!
What makes a good game based on a movie? When does it work particularly well and when not at all? We found that out together with you.
Many thanks to everyone who was there live and for the many good discussions. And now: Have fun listening!
