Since most of us are residents of a horror island, we at iGamesNews were skeptical of Dead Island 2 because it wasn’t set on an island, or, frankly, the level of horror we like. Which brings us to the question: what’s the best game on a spooky island? There are so many options to choose from, since islands are such a popular setting in video games: their size is naturally limited, so it’s easier to distribute them in realistic proportions without invisible walls around the map. Everything from Morrowind to Grand Theft Auto V might fit the bill. But none of our panelists chose those.
In order to find out what they actually chose, you have to listen, and here are a few handy ways. Or you can watch it, as it’s now a proper video show, where you can actually see our faces:
If you’re the type who doesn’t like surprises, you can also simply read the spoiler summary below.
tom
Tom chose Football Manager because he did it every week, and because he didn’t think the normal rules of the panel game were spicy enough, so he played his own personal meta game on it, which he pressed Football Manager into every topic. We wish him the best of luck.
connor
Connor chose the 360-era assassin sim Dishonored because it was well-received and clearly based in England (a wretched imperial island infested with cops and rats).
Kelsey
Thatcher’s Techbase is a Doom 2 mod that tells the story of trawling fish in the Tenth Circle of Hell (UK) in order to kill the demon Margaret Thatcher. It’s really good, Jeremy Corbyn says so, and it’s a weird kind of depth impact/apocalyptic dance, with Duke Smuchem as other A game that satirizes this ridiculous country with a fake 3D game engine from the 90s.
“What is iGamesNews’s best gaming podcast ever?” you ask? Well, it’s essentially a 30 minute panel show where people (Jim Trinca and co) decide the best game in a certain category. That’s it. very good. listen to this.
