Gaming is a great hobby, but what hardware actually fuels your games? Do you belong to the camp of pure PC gamers or do products from Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo or Valve occasionally lure you away from your home computer?
Thanks to new techniques such as cross-gaming or cross-saves, many worlds have now merged: start in the morning on the PC, continue on the switch during the lunch break and end the game on the Playstation in the evening? Often no problem!
And there are also a number of console-exclusive titles – especially from Sony and Nintendo – that can seduce even the previously most convinced PC fanatic. Every year we would like to know from you which platforms you play on other than the PC.
PC only or also consoles? Vote!
About a year ago, we asked you whether you, as part of the PC-savvy GameStar community, actually own one or more consoles or whether you remain loyal to your gaming PC. Even then, more than two-thirds of all participants owned one or more consoles – especially the Nintendo Switch.
Playstation 4 last just before the 5
In 2022, the predecessor console from Sony was still just a step ahead of its successor. In the meantime, however, the delivery situation of the PS5 has eased significantly. So the question arises: was the next-gen variant able to catch up or even overtake as a result?
And did Valve’s Steam Deck anchor the dominant digital platform on the nation’s living room couches? Or has the upcoming release of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom further increased the number of Switch owners in relation to the other consoles? Help us to answer these and other questions together with and for you!
And feel free to write us in the comments how your respective console love came about? Did it exist before the PC or did you later get involved on one or more platforms from Sony, Microsoft or Nintendo? Was it perhaps a particular game that converted you? And how do you actually gamble on the console? Classic controller, or do you maybe even use a mouse, keyboard or other input devices?
