Among the greatest injustices witnessed in the short history of video games, it’s impossible not to place one for Clover Studio, founded by former developers who deserve Capcom and who were forced to shut down after giving birth to fantastic Okami. Life is definitely too unfair.

Fortunately, the following events allowed Atsushi Inaba and his gang to try the adventure again with Platinum Games, while Capcom repeated the divine adventures of Amaterasu in an HD version, first on PlayStation 3.

And as the big games age like the best vintages, Okami HD will finally have spawned its wreaths of flowers and folk deities on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One before it finally finishes its race (yes, but) on Switch.
And among the countless documents that the publisher Capcom unfortunately dropped during a hack followed by a Ranon request, are the sales of the remaster in high definition. And despite the multitude of supports on which the goddess Lupine will have thrown her will, it is actually the very last repetition that takes first place on the podium:
- switch 600,000 sales
- Pc 536,000 sales
- Playstation 3 529,000 sales
- Playstation 4 445,000 sales
- Xbox One 121,000 sales
Therefore, knowing that the original versions released on PlayStation 2 and Wii did not exceed 350,000 copies in either case, it is the port for Switch that comes out loud, reaffirming the rather phenomenal appeal of Nintendo’s portable console.
History does not (yet) say whether this posthumous success will be strong enough to allow a sequel to begin in an appropriate manner (hi Okamiden). The fact is, we shouldn’t take literally all of this Kamiya blocker’s statements …
