The time has come: The open beta of Diablo 4 will start in 2023. A professional player is now making assumptions about the date.
While Activision Blizzard is still a long time coming with official information about the start of the open beta for Diablo 4, some theories are circulating on the Internet. One of them comes from the streamer and professional player wudijo, who is well-known in the Diablo scene. He reveals his appointment forecast in a YouTube video. The special thing about it: It is conclusive!
When could the open beta start?
According to wudijo, the most likely time frame for the open beta to start is late March to early May. One he sees a particularly high chance for the start in mid-April.
How does he justify that? Wudijos uses the duration of the current seasons of Diablo 3 and Diablo 2: Resurrected for his theory. The current season of Diablo 3 is the longest so far and there is still no end in sight. The streamer explains the duration by saying that Blizzard needs time to prepare a particularly strong follow-up season, generate hype and coordinate the start with Diablo 2: Resurrected and Diablo 4.

Wudijo suspects the start of a new season of Diablo 3 at the end of February or beginning of March. In his opinion, a new season will also start for Diablo 2: Resurrected in March. The players would have enough time to play the new seasons intensively before the open beta for Diablo 4 starts, potentially in mid-April.

What should the open beta include?
Wudijo has also provided a guess as to the possible content of the open beta. The official side has so far only announced the duration of at least two days. Wudijo suspects that you will only be able to play the first few hours of the campaign and a limited selection of classes. In his estimation, there will then be another open beta that will shed light on the late game.
