Are you tired of waiting for Hollow Knight Silksong and looking for a replacement to fill the wait? Bō: Path of the Teal Lotus could fill your need in many ways.
Hollow Knight Silksong is not dead and is even doing well, according to the game’s chief tester. Despite the deafening silence from Team Cherry, development is proceeding as normally as possible. However, despite the signals from the classification authorities, there is still no release date. This sequel, announced in 2019, was postponed (again) last year without a launch window. The field is thus free and will be used by an independent studio.
Bō: Path of the Teal Lotus, the child of Okami and Hollow Knight
Millions of players are waiting desperately Hollow Knight SilksongWe’re keeping our fingers crossed that the game won’t be cancelled. Feedback from the studio suggests it won’t be, but you never know. It’s one of the most anticipated Metroivanias of the last decade, but other games have successfully explored this territory, such as Tales of Kenzera and Prince of Persia the Lost Crown. And maybe you can add something Bō: Path of the Blue-Green Lotus added to the list, coming this Wednesday, July 17, to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
Bo Path of the Teal Lotus is a Metroivania that, especially in its art direction, is strongly reminiscent of a connection between Hollow Knight and Capcom’s adventure game Okami. Japanese folklore is also at the heart of the software. But as Chris Stair, director of Squid Shock Studios, explains, this new title is something special. The idea was to “create rhythm” with the combat and movement system.
“Bō cannot do a simple double jump, so you must learn how to “hop”. When Bō hits an object or enemy in the air with his Equinox Staff, it begins to glow, indicating that he can do another jump in the air. If he hits something again after the second jump, it glows again, allowing him to do a third jump, and so on. explains Chris Stair in a PlayStation blog post. Obviously, in Bō: Path of the Teal Lotus, the character will gain new movement techniques and abilities to take out enemies over time, like in Hollow Knight or others.
