What is … Stranded Deep? – The Robinson simulator
What was actually only planned as a relaxed flight and short vacation turns out to be a one-way ticket to the Pacific including island hopping. Something like that, the story must have run before we woke up on a lifeboat in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, on which we start our journey to Stranded Deep.
From December 28th, 5pm to December 29th, 4:59 pm, the game will be given away for free on Epic as part of a Christmas promotion.
The survival game by Beam Team Games has been in Early Access since January 23, 2015 and was released for PS4 and Xbox One on April 21, 2020. Stranded Deep is still in Early Access on the PC.

Who is Stranded Deep for?
Regardless of whether it is a release version or early access: the game principle always remains the same. We are stranded somewhere in the Pacific nowhere and have to save ourselves with the help of our lifeboat to the nearest island, on which we then craft essential things like a shelter. As in any good survival game, of course, we are troubled after a short time Thirst, hunger and the need for sleepwho want to be breastfed.
Basically, fans of classic survival games should take a closer look at Stranded Deep. Story enthusiasts will probably have less fun with the survival bathing paradise than the History is only a rudimentary framework for the actual game provides.

What does the community say about Stranded Deep?
On Steam you can find about 26,000 reviews to the early access game, of which about 77 percent are positive. Among other things, the players praise the different game modes that are now available. So writes bcgm3
“It’s a really fun tropical island simulation. The creative mode is super relaxing and you can enjoy the view and build a small beach domicile. On all other levels of difficulty the game is much more demanding and a challenge.”
Many players also write down their personal stories that they experienced. Dr. Strangepork tells:
“Yesterday I swam in the sea looking for clay to build my beach hut. Suddenly a goblin shark attacked me out of nowhere. Why was it so close to the coast and why did it attack me and drag me out into the open sea? Either way, I was pissed off. That was something personal now and after I had taken care of myself, I went hunting. […]
I’ve been playing for a while now and the game has really changed over time. There are still a lot of bugs, but it’s still a beautiful game. […] The game is worth it if you want a classic survival game with some moments of shock when something suddenly nibbles on your leg when you’re outside spearfishing. ”
Bugs and performance problems are currently one of the game’s biggest criticisms. So reported RogerTheKing:
“The biggest point of criticism is that important materials, more or less the goal of the whole thing, simply disappear. I had several boxes with various components stored there, all of which are gone. That makes it absolutely unnecessary for me to continue playing and leads to” frustration ” The game stutters in some places and on particularly sunny days the picture flickers regardless of the settings. […]
The game has great potential, but in the current state it gets boring very quickly, you have to keep traveling to the next island and trying to transport your loot … that’s a constant restart. ”
What is the current state of the game?
Despite the console release and Early Access, updates are published at regular intervals. The last major patch apart from bug fixes was released on October 5, 2020. Update 0.74.00 brought, among other things, a larger game world that was about twice as large as the previous one, and a new endgame scenario came into play.
From now on you have to do some jobs like killing creatures or finding and crafting components before you can save yourself.
It is still unclear when a final release version can also be expected on the PC.
