The name Blue Byte, once inseparably linked to The Settlers, now stands for a network of three cooperating studios in Berlin, Düsseldorf and Mainz, which have already worked together on Anno 1800. The million dollar check represented the funding for a new game called »Project Placeholder«, Ubisoft Mainz was listed as the executive studiot.
Although there are still no official confirmation from Ubisoftbut it seems obvious that the funding is intended for the next Anno game. And that is exactly what could be announced at Ubisoft Forward – let’s wait and see.
