Many players have welcomed the fact that Verdansk has been given a new, more colorful coat of paint. Away with the gray-brown, here with strong colors, suitable for the setting in the 80s! But a new problem has unwittingly crept into Call of Duty: Warzone. The sun is too bright.
What at first sounds like a real First World complaint can actually be extremely disruptive to the fun of the game. That’s why players are demanding that the developers deliver a solution soon.
Bright sunshine blinds the players
There are several threads on Reddit that clarify the problem with screenshots. At certain angles, the sunlight literally glows out of the screen:

Of course, one could argue that dazzling light also in reality poses a problem for snipers and makes Warzone more realistic. However, the players lack many options that exist in the real world – they cannot put on sunglasses or put on sun protection, but have to live with the settings that the developers give them.
If it was an intended mechanism, it should have been communicated by an official body, as was done with all the other innovations in Verdansk ’84. However, there was never such an announcement.
In the Reddit comments, many players are now writing their frustration off their minds because they are one Sniperduell have lost or annoyed because of the lighting of light bugs that make the problem even worse.
There’s good news from Warzone too. Another urgent player request has just been heard:

Developer first gives hope, but then backs down
Warzone’s lead VFX artist, Reed Shingledecker, already announced a few days ago on twitter responds. He asked if players were really bothered by the game sun and hoped for a quick solution. It is not a problem for him at all to weaken the lens flares.
But he has already deleted the tweet because it was worded in a misleading manner. Reed himself makes this clear:

“There seems to be some confusion about what changes are in my power. I can only adjust the lens flares on the screen. That includes the rays shining over the tops of buildings and in the on-screen dirt. I can DO NOT control the blurring, individual rays of the sun, or the actual brightness of the sun. “
Nevertheless, many players hope that Reed can at least initiate a solution. In the official Trello-Plan the solar problem does not appear yet, but the Chances of an early fix are probably pretty good anyway.
Is straight Season 3 Reloaded in full swing and has even more 80s action crashing into Verdansk. The new operators Rambo and John McClane (yes, the two famous film heroes) have joined the war and of course have bows, combat knives and loads of explosives in their luggage.
