Cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and NFTs are a huge hot topic for many. However, it currently seems as if the topic will stay with us for some time to come. While Steam is strictly banning all possible blockchain content from its store, EA is currently forging plans to soon be able to use the virtual goods in its own games:

EA sees the future in NFTs and blockchain and cites Ultimate Team as an example
The NFT hype also recently erupted on the Twitch streaming platform and promptly truly absurd traits accepted. But see for yourself.
Fan pays 100,000 dollars for pixel art
As one of the first streamers, she is notorious Amouranth jumped on the latest trend. In case you’ve never heard of her, the young woman has already been banned from Twitch five times because her streams were too suggestive. Sometimes because she presented herself a little too freely, sometimes because she licked her microphone suggestively.
At the weekend she proudly announced that she had auctioned her first NFT – and that at an incredible price. Someone actually did more than 100,000 dollars put on the table for ownership of a pixel art nude image. As a little bonus, there was also a one-on-one phone call with Amouranth on top of that.

But why in the world do you buy something like that? Often times, NFTs are digital works of art that people pay to acquire ownership of. Of course, anyone could go to Twitter and save the picture on their own PC. However, there is only one true owner.
Perhaps someone has smelled big business here and thinks that Amouranth’s first NFT could in the future be worth even more than the small fortune that he has now transferred for it. It is more likely, however, that he has just thrown a huge amount of money out of the window.
This is how other streamers deal with NFTs
However, Amouranth is not the only Twitch star that is now interested in trading the digital deeds. Also Lirik, who has been one of the most popular gaming streamers for over ten years and has so far managed without major scandals, presented his first NFTs at the weekend – and caught a real Reddit shit storm for it, which brought the otherwise relaxed entertainer to white heat:
Mizkif also recently returned to Twitch: After separating from his girlfriend Maya – with whom he auctioned broken tables and worn shoes in the stream some time ago – he needed a longer break. As he also reported last weekend, an NFT platform offered him around 260,000 dollars for a sponsorship deal. However, for fear of his reputation, he declined the offer.
