Intel wants to continue its offensive on the GPU side to compete directly with Nvidia and AMD. And two new models should arrive soon.
PC Games Hardware and Digital Foundry had the opportunity to interview two big names from Intel, namely Tom Petersen and Ryan Shrout, Intel’s Head of Marketing. A good opportunity to learn a little more about the upcoming products.
Intel’s A770 and A750 GPUs on the way?
Tom Petersen therefore confirmed during the video that the A770 Limited Edition will be available on the company’s website and that custom models of the A770 and A750 will also be available. As with the Arc A380, the launch will initially only take place in certain countries. We already know that Germany is there for Europe, but it’s a completely different story for France.
In terms of performance, Intel often compares its two cards to the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060. According to internal tests, the Arc A770 performs better than the green card in games with ray tracing and in 1080p resolution, and according to Petersen the card would even be better at the level of one RTX 3060 Ti. What it really is remains to be seen in an independent benchmark. It should also be more powerful and faster than the AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT.
This impending arrival of new entry-level Intel cards won’t hurt a market that has so far been based solely on an AMD/Nvidia battle over…always?
