Windows 10: Microsoft forces users to update

Support for Windows 10 version 1903 will end in December.
If version 1903 is still installed, your operating system will be updated to 1909.
In May 2021, all users will increase from 1909 to 2004.

Microsoft announced that it will end support for Windows 10 version 1903 on December 8. This is how to check if you are affected.

Since many users still install this version on their PCs, the software giant hopes to increase the version number of the operating system to 1909, as reported by the blog WindowsLatest.

The update will be installed on the computer with your intervention. If your computer is too weak for the 2004 or 20H2 version, you will only get 1909. If this version is already installed on your computer, it will be updated to the 2004 version in May 2021 at the latest. Because the support that began in 1909 will end in May next year.

However, this only applies to Windows 10 Home or Pro versions. Users of Windows 10 Enterprise or Education Edition will continue to receive support for at least one year.
