For Projekt Hadar, CD Projekt is working on a new setting away from the well-known brands.
What games are next from the Witcher and Cyberpunk makers? This question can now be answered fairly accurately. CD Projekt has announced several new Witcher games and a full successor to Cyberpunk 2077 on Twitter.
A third message could almost go under: Because the developer would also like to establish a third brand. Under the code name Hadar
a new game will be created that cannot be assigned to either the Witcher or Cyberpunk universe.
What do we know about Hadar?
Hadar is said to be a new brand that is fundamentally different from Cyberpunk 2077 and Witcher. The project has been in the concept phase since 2021, and a small team is currently working on the foundation for the setting. So since it is not yet clear what exactly Hadar is supposed to be, there is no further information about the content of the game.

One could only speculate that the developers will continue to rely on their strengths: It is quite possible that Hadar is also a role-playing game, but perhaps explores a completely new setting.
What’s next?
Project Hadar seems to be pretty far down the queue for new games. First, CD Projekt will take care of Cyberpunk 2077. Here comes the story DLC Phantom Liberty, after the Edgerunners series was able to ensure a great success on Steam.

It is currently still unclear when the next Cyberpunk will continue. Like the next Witcher game, the title is likely still in pre-production. We will therefore have to be patient for a few years. The schedule for the other two Witcher games to be developed by external studios is also not clear.
