Minecraft is known for its rather simple pixel graphics and reduced block look. Up to the characters and animals, everything is angular and not exactly high-resolution. But that the engine can actually do much more, shows the YouTube channel Digital Dreams.
Minecraft: From Pixel to 4K
He prettied up the game with his own texture package in combination with the shader called Continuum 2.1 and the result is impressive. Flowers in which you can count the pixels in the vanilla version suddenly shine in high resolution and look almost like in real life
Thanks to new textures, the landscape itself also appears much more detailed: red blocks become artistically inspired floor slabs and realistic clouds as well as shadows hardly make us recognize Minecraft
Continuum takes care of thatthat extends Minecraft with graphical features such as Volumetric Lightning, Volumetric Clouds and PBR Voxel Ray-Tracing – which the Vanilla Minecraft does not support.

The mods for Minecraft are not free
Shaders and the high-resolution textures created by Digital Dreams are not available for free, but only for real money.
The official 4K graphics pack from Microsoft, which the developer announced in 2017, was discontinued in summer 2019. But even if you don't want to pay, a variety of community mods give you the option of prettying up the sandbox game.
And at least Raytracing will also be officially integrated into the title in the future, as announced at Gamescom in 2019.
