Many WWE fans look forward to the physical video media after a big event. But when will Wrestlemania 40 be released on DVD and Blu-ray. We’ll tell you.
The first weekend in April is the biggest wrestling event of the year for WWE fans. This year, WrestleMania is entering its 40th edition and has the absolute elite at the start with Logan Paul, Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, among others.
The matches can only be seen in the paid live stream. For this reason, some of you may be looking forward to the corresponding DVDs and Blu-rays so that you can watch the battles again at a later date. However, we have bad news for all fans of physical storage media: they won’t even exist.
No DVD or Blu-ray release planned
At the end of last year, distribution partner Fremantle announced the end of DVD releases. WWE management subsequently decided not to re-award any licenses for the “Home Video” area. The last event to be released on a silver disc was the “Crown Jewel 2023”. For many, this marked the end of an era.
So you can still watch the show
You can watch WrestleMania 40 and all other WWE events on the WWE Network either live or on-demand at any time. A corresponding subscription currently costs $9.99 per month. As usual with other streaming providers, you can access the recordings and the live stream via smartphone, laptop, PC, TV or even a console.
