Subscribers of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate can now also stream on selected LG Smart TVs via Cloud Gaming.
In January, Microsoft and LG confirmed that selected LG Smart TVs also enjoy Xbox Cloud Gaming in the course of the year – as was the case with certain devices from the fellow competitor Samsung. You didn't call a specific date for this, but now the time has come!
This week, LG brings the Xbox app on the in -house smart TVs. If you subscribe to the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, you can now stream all games supported at Xbox Cloud Gaming via this app directly on the TV; In this respect, you only need a supported controller, but no longer necessarily an Xbox console.
The feature is available in over 25 countries, especially: Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Finland, France, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Canada, South Korea, Mexico, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, Slovakia, Europe, Czech Republic and USA.
The Xbox app can be accessed via the gaming portal or via LG apps. LG televisions are supported with webos 24 or new, i.e. selected models from 2022 and 2023, which run on software version 23.20.01 or higher. In addition, various smart monitors from the manufacturer are also supported with webos 24.
