Members of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will soon be able to use Amazon’s Fire TV devices to play the latest console blockbusters.
Microsoft has long been allowing Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers to play current console blockbusters on selected devices via the cloud, without having to own a current Xbox Series X/S. This offer is now being expanded, as future support for Amazon’s Fire TV devices was also announced on the official blog.

It is scheduled to start in the new month of July 2024, with the Fire TV Stick 4K Max and the Fire TV Stick 4K from the year of release in 2023 being supported initially. Hundreds of supported games will then be playable via an internet connection using the Xbox app that will then be available there. In addition to the Fire TV Stick, the only additional peripheral device required is a Bluetooth-enabled controller.
Starfield, Fallout, Forza Horizon 5 and more: Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members in over 25 countries will be able to get started on Fire TV devices. The wording “stay tuned for additional details” suggests that there will be further announcements about additional compatible devices, offers and more in the near future.
