Xbox Game Pass continues to prove its worth, Lana Planet Received incredibly strong reviews before starting to use the service tomorrow.
One of the best things about Game Pass is that it gives you the chance to try smaller titles in between playing the year’s biggest hits. There are lots of great little games like Citizen Sleeper or Signalis. And right now, if you’re looking for something else to play, Planet Lana looks like the perfect option for you.
Tomorrow, May 23, Game Pass’ Xbox-exclusive Planet of Lana has started receiving reviews, and they’re looking pretty strong. GamesRadar gave the game a score of 4.5/5, highlighting its “wonderfully varied puzzle scenarios” and numerous “memorable moments”. Rock Paper Shotgun didn’t score it, but said “the cinematic action sequences and environments are worth your six hours”.
If you haven’t heard of Planet of Lana, it’s like a cinematic platformer like Limbo, albeit with slightly brighter and more colorful environments. You should expect similar puzzles, with its own style.Plus, it does have a rather flashy art style
Planet Lana isn’t the only gem joining Game Pass this month. If you’re looking for more standalone goodness, Cassette Beasts, a Pokemon-like Pokemon that lets you fuse creatures you collect, arrives a few days after Lana’s planet on May 25. And at the end of the month on May 30, Chicory: A Colorful Tale, the game from the developers behind Wandersong and Celeste, hits Game Pass. In it, you play as a dog named Pizza (yes, actually) and fill the world with color because you can paint on pretty much anything.
Planet of Lana launches May 23 on PC and Xbox Series X/S.
