Microsoft is expanding the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate offering and has now officially confirmed cloud gaming for two additional platforms for the coming year 2021.
The year is drawing to a close and Microsoft is taking the opportunity to take a look into the future of the Xbox Game Pass. Accordingly, the offer should enrich other platforms in the future.
In the spring of 2021, the cloud gaming feature of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate should also be available on Windows 10 PC via the Xbox app as well as on iOS devices. Due to the restrictions imposed by Apple regarding third-party providers, Microsoft uses a specially developed web application via a browser on the iPhone and iPad. So you will then be able to enjoy the latest Xbox blockbusters on the Apple platform simply via the Internet connection.
According to its own information, Microsoft is opening up a circle of over a billion additional devices to potential new customers of the service. Minecraft dungeons with touch controls on an iPhone? Destiny 2 on a Surface Pro? All of this will then be possible in the future. The very specific start date was not yet announced.
And: When it comes to games, you also looked ahead. In 2021, the number of first-party studios will grow from 15 to 23, thanks in part to the takeover of Bethesda. Regardless of this, the following games have already been announced for the coming year:
