Good news, Xbox Series X and S get a new update today to better communicate with your friends. Here’s what you need to know.
If you are tired of background noise, music from your playmates or just sometimes even the sound of the console fan, then you will like this new update. Xbox Series X and S owners can now actually suppress noise during group chats.
A technology that will be very helpful in communicating on Xbox
During a game, there’s nothing more annoying than hearing background noise or even a player’s breathing, especially if the microphone in question is of poor quality. Fortunately, the new noise reduction on the software side should solve the problem. The website Microsoft however, states that it is possible to disable this option (which works automatically) if you want to take advantage of the background noise. For example, imagine using a console during an evening, with music playing in the background.
Xbox noise cancellation is similar to Discord’s Krisp audio filters, but in particular to the impressive Nvidia application that allows you to completely filter out extraneous noise (NVIDIA RTX Voice). This new update is very community based and also includes a new way to join games with friends.
Now friends you share your game clips and screenshots with can not only watch your footage but also play cloud gaming instantly on their mobile device or PC to join you.
It works somewhat similar to what Stadia offers (despite its flaw).
