Microsoft has shown a sense of humor in the past when it comes to implementing memes in the real world. After a refrigerator in the design of the Xbox Series X, there is now also a toaster at Wallmart that is based on the design of the Xbox Series S.
Sometimes a company simply has to accept that its own product is steeped in cocoa. Some designs are just too reminiscent of other objects, for example the Xbox Series X resembled a mini-fridge in some ways. So Microsoft didn’t miss a beat and actually launched a cooling device in a console design that was hugely popular.

The Series S has also repeatedly fallen victim to corruption in the past. For example, the community called the small Microsoft console a radio, compared it to a Walkman, turned it into a ghetto blaster or used it as a stovetop. It has also been called a toaster and lo and behold, Microsoft is once again showing humor.
At Wallmart you can buy a real toaster that is based on the design of the Xbox Series S and, according to the product page, officially comes from Xbox. The price would be 39.99 dollars if it were available. Because the device is currently sold out at the American retail chain, it is currently unknown whether it will come again and what a European release will look like.
It’s a shame, because the design is really successful and the toaster also burns an Xbox logo onto your slices of bread. It offers space for two pieces of toast, has a bagel function, has a digital countdown timer and you can have your bread browned in six different levels. I have to give it to Microsoft, they could have made a lot less effort.
