We’ve gotten used to the delivery bottlenecks for consoles and the situation has eased up a bit. But now comes the next misery: Xbox controllers are currently hard to get.
The shortage of consoles has almost become a matter of course, and now there are apparently delivery bottlenecks for Xbox controllers. Several sources report that it is hardly possible to get controllers, especially in Europe, whether in online trading or from retailers.
Corresponding reports are coming in from a number of countries, and even the Microsoft Store is apparently currently having delivery problems. Any remaining stocks should be sold out fairly quickly in the next few days.
Microsoft has commented on this to VGC and blames the bottlenecks on interruptions in the supply of components: “We know it may be hard finding Xbox Wireless Controllers right now due to supply disruptions. We’re working as fast as possible with our manufacturing and retail partners to improve this. Please check with your local retailer for availability.”
So not a good time to throw your controllers at the wall after losing a FIFA match or getting your hundredth death from an Elden Ring boss. Let’s hope that the delivery situation will ease up again soon.
