Microsoft had removed the ability to share content directly via Twitter from an earlier test build for Xbox Insiders. But now the Xbox manufacturer is making a U-turn.
Xbox Insiders must have been amazed this month when a test build removed the ability to directly share content such as screenshots or videos via Twitter. In other words, if you still wanted to share clips and pictures, you should first upload them using your smartphone or tablet. Laborious. It is not known why this action was taken. It is generally assumed that the share feature is used too seldom.
In a new test build for Xbox Insiders, however, Microsoft has now backtracked and fully integrated the Twitter share feature again. Lead Programmer Brad Rossetti confirmed via Twitter that the feature has been reinstated based on user feedback: “Thanks for your feedback on the Twitter share feature change we flighted in 2204 – that change is being reverted to the previous behavior from today in this new-build”.
Apparently there are still enough people who would like to continue sharing their content on Twitter. Let’s see how long it stays in there.
