Ubisoft’s free2play shooter XDefiant recently entered a closed beta phase. Since this is of course an unfinished version of the game, players must expect one or the other error. For example, it can happen that you cannot find any players due to a bug. Fortunately, there are already some workarounds.
Possible solutions
When does the error occur? When you are looking for a match, sometimes the message gets for a long time Searching for Player Lobby
displayed. If you cannot find any players for a long time, this is not necessarily due to empty servers, but may be due to a technical error.
what can you do Until the developers fix the bug, you have to rely on unofficial attempts at a solution. The following measures can help:
- DNS-Flush: Press the Windows key and R at the same time and type in the window that opens cmd a. Confirm the entry with Enter and the command prompt will open. There you give ipconfig /flushdns
- Reboot router: An uncomplicated measure that often helps with connection problems.
Custom Playlist
to use: In a Reddit discussion, the suggestion came up when searching for a matchCustom Playlist
to use. It’s obviously a lot easier for you to find a game that way.- Use VPN: If all else fails, you can use a VPN to connect to the game using a different region.
Since the closed beta is already over on April 23, it’s quite possible that there won’t be any major updates until then. The connection error is therefore unlikely to be tackled again and you will have to be content with temporary solutions.
Have you already secured a spot in the XDefiant closed beta? How do you like the shooter so far and have you mostly been spared bugs? Or do you prefer to wait until release to try the game? Feel free to write it in the comments!
