XDefiant just made a splash at tonight’s Ubisoft Forward showcase, showing off a trailer for the first season, which kicks off on July 2, and bringing some FPS fun to the event.
The FPS, which was announced last month, was one of three headline products previewed at this year’s Ubisoft Forward, along with Assassin’s Creed: Shadow of War and Star Wars: Outlaws, and now we know why it’s being included in this exciting company’s roster.

So, what are we getting in XDefiant? Well, we now (finally!) know that XDefiant Season 1 will begin on July 2nd, and will introduce a new faction, a new map, more weapons, and ranked playlists at launch. If you play XDefiant before 12:00 PM PT on June 12th, you’ll get exclusive rewards for free!

Although XDefiant may face a huge challenge in maintaining its current momentum and player interest when Call of Duty Black Ops 6 releases this October, it has received a lot of praise so far.
