The rumors are true: James Gunn’s Superman movie will feature the super-dog Kryptonian, and honestly, the reasons are pretty sweet.
It was previously reported that Superman’s super-powered dog Krypto will appear in the upcoming new DCU movie. Yesterday, James Gunn personally confirmed the news on his personal Twitter account. As it turns out, Gunn actually took a break from his own life when it came to introducing Krypto to the big screen, explaining: “Krypto was inspired by our dog Ozu, who we adopted shortly after I started writing Superman It. Ozu comes from a situation where hoarding items in a backyard with 60 other dogs and never getting to know a human was problematic, to say the least.

“He immediately came in and destroyed our home, our shoes, our furniture – he even ate my laptop. It was a long time before he let us touch him. I remember thinking, ‘Oh my God Which, if Ozu had superpowers? – So, Krypto came into the script and changed the shape of the story, just like Ozu was changing my life, and what better time to debut than adopting the shelter dog Moon. What about this good boy who is not so good. [By the way]Ozu today is a very good boy most of the time. ”

Gunn combined this with a short video of David Corenswaite’s Superman sitting on the moon with Krypton, looking down at Earth, with one from Gunn’s comic that accompanies this article. page echoes. This will mark the first time the super-powered pup has appeared in a live-action DC movie, and is just one of many things Gance is apparently doing to make some changes in the new DCU.
The DC Studios co-head also recently had to reassure fans that all other projects that haven’t been updated much haven’t been canceled, so anyone worried about that can calm down.
