The knife in Resident Evil 3 has received a much-needed upgrade.
Resident Evil 3 Solved a big problem in Resident Evil 2 Remake. As you may recall, in Resident Evil 2 Remake, all knives have a durability meter, which means they only break after a few uses.
This prevents players from using them to attack enemies, but instead saves them for zombie snatch attacks. Giving the knife durability also has the unfortunate side effect of essentially killing only the knife to run. With Resident Evil 3, the knife you started using will not break.
"In Resident Evil 3, we ran out of this knife, so you can use it forever," producer Peter Fabiano told Game Informer.
"We are dealing with the horror of survival, everything is exhaustive. You have run out of bullets. You have run out of herbs. He has run out of all available items." He explained that the knife is not subject to this restriction.
"So if you run out of resources, what will you have? Knife. The director has always wanted to do this so that you have at least a trusted knife. This is always something you can count on."
In fact, according to Capcom, some people on the development team can complete the game with only a equipped knife, so you can be sure that the community will do the same once the game is released.
A short demo of Resident Evil 3 has recently been released, and you can watch its full play on the link to make sure you are busy until it is released.
Resident Evil 3 will be released on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on April 3.
