Update from November 25, 2021: That real
Squid Game is over – and has now been viewed over 30 million times on YouTube. On November 24th, the YouTuber published MrBeast the video for the event, in which 456 participants competed against each other in a series of children’s games. Of course, nobody died, instead a small device was used that simulated a gunshot wound when a participant dropped out.
According to his own statement, the entire spectacle cost MrBeast 3.5 million US dollars, which were used to finance the lavish and faithful sets, but also the prizes for the participants. The proud winner of the copy of the Squid Game was able to take home 456,000 US dollars – of course we don’t want to anticipate the outcome of the competition at this point.
It’s best to just take a look at the video for yourself:

Original message from November 15, 2021: Do you have any plans for the coming weeks? If not, you should deal with the YouTuber MrBeast put in touch. Namely, he organizes his own squid game. Only without blood and murder, which should be a thorn in the side of the inclined industrial representative.
For this, however, the winner of the real tournament apparently gets a big reward – namely a nice stack of money. There are no further details about the tournament, but the effort made in the background is definitely impressive.
What’s behind the real Squid Game?
The well-known YouTuber MrBeast has set himself an ambitious goal: to recreate the complete set of the Netflix series hit. He spared no expense or effort to capture even the smallest detail of the known locations. Overall he has according to their own information an impressive two million US dollars invested.
In a short video from November 7th, 2021 you haven’t seen much of the end result, but you have seen the effort behind the endeavor:

Meanwhile, he and his team of helpers are as good as finished, as they proudly announced on Twitter. At first glance, one could almost assume that the series has become a reality. Even the sleeping barracks have been recreated. With the right background music, you can almost perfectly capture the atmosphere of the series:

Anyone who thinks that MrBeast just has a cool playground is very wrong. Because here should appear shortly real tournaments held to choose a winner in the end. And then he even gets prize money.
There is currently some uncertainty about the amount of the prize money. In a response on Twitter, MrBeast writes that he is total $ 3.5 million I invested – 2 million in the construction of the arena, 1.5 million in prize money. So it sounds like everyone, or at least many of the 456 participants, are getting some of the money cake. But it could also be that the winner goes home a millionaire in the end.
