- Automatic backup : The game progress is saved automatically, in addition to the existing manual saves.
- Tutorial dialogues that can be abbreviated : The tutorials that teach the basics of the game have been revised and corrected to be less present and intrusive.
- New controls : Skyward Sword HD is adapted to Joy-Con, with the ability to play motion gaming like on the Wii or in a more classic way with the controllers of the Switch
