HoYoverse Brings Zenless Zone Zero to Xbox Series
After a successful launch in July on PS5, PC, and iOS/Android devices, Zenless Zone Zero—the new free-to-play action RPG from Holecreators of Genshin Impact—will also be arriving on Xbox Series soon.
Previously exclusive to PS5, PC, and mobile platforms, the game is planned for a 2025 release on Xboxthough more details will be shared during a livestream titled “Xbox Spotlight” scheduled for April 11.
According to HoYoLABthe developers confirmed the date and a few key details about the event. While we only know it’s coming to Xbox Series, it’s assumed this includes both Xbox Series X and S.
The New Free Action Game from the Creators of Genshin Impact
Hole continues to expand onto Xbox platforms, following the launch of Genshin Impact on Xbox Series last November. Zenless Zone Zerotheir latest anime-style urban cyberpunk action RPG, blends fast-paced hack-and-slash combat with accessible mechanics and a diverse, well-designed cast of characters.
Back in July 2024it was revealed that Zenless Zone Zero’s PS5 exclusivity would last for a minimum of six months from its release date—meaning it couldn’t launch on other consoles until January 2025per the terms of the exclusivity deal between Hole and Sony.
Xbox Reveal Coming in April
The announcement will be streamed on HoYoverse’s official YouTube channels (in English and Japanese), and also on Twitch.
During this livestream, we’ll get the exclusive reveal of the Xbox Series version along with “exciting new updates you won’t want to miss.”
Zenless Zone Zero is currently available on PlayStation 5 via PlayStation Store, PC through the HoYoverse client and Epic Games Storeand on iOS and Android smartphones.
It remains to be seen whether this Xbox release will be accompanied by Xbox Game Pass support, although Microsoft’s recent focus on multiplatform and live-service games strongly suggests that could be the case.
