Here we bring you a new guide to The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. This time we are going to talk about the shields and the best materials with which to combine them.
Guide to Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
You already know that when combining a shield with another weapon or object, specific properties are added to it. From ScreenRant, we are recommended to merge/combine them like this:
- Stone slab shield or any other large stone structure to increase its durability and defense
- Shield of Great Seed of Light to act as a lantern
- Ruby or sapphire shield to protect us from cold or heat respectively
- Dock shield to get bounced through the air when trying to surf
- Two-handed weapon shield to be able to block and have additional defenses similar to using a one-handed weapon with a shield
- Mine cart shield to use it as a skateboard and go fast
- Rocket shield to get propelled into the air (recently we told you about in another Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom guide about the many possibilities of this combination)
- Petrarok’s Heart Shield, as this automatically stops projectiles and can reflect them back at the opponent. This projectile reflex works even when the shield is slung over Link’s back, so we can take advantage of it while shooting arrows even.
- Electric Like’s stone shield, which causes a large explosion of electric counterattack when protecting us at the right moment, dealing damage and stunning enemies
- Mirror Shield, which creates a beam of light and when aimed at the enemy will temporarily blind and stun them. Of course, there must be sun.
