Welcome to another edition of the Box Art Brawl, everyone!
In last week's battle, we looked at the N64 classic, Mario Kart 64. And man, it really wasn't even close, huh? North America and Europe absolutely killed it with 88% of the vote; certainly one of the loudest wins we've ever seen!
This time we're going back a little further to the SNES with Super Ninja Boy to celebrate his recent addition to Nintendo Switch Online. Originally released in 1991 in Japan, this one made it to the United States in 1993, but unfortunately skipped Europe entirely. It's mostly a decent action RPG, though its frequent random encounters slowed the pace considerably.
So, with Europe out of the picture, let's put our competitors in the ring for our final fight. Who will triumph..? Find out next time, ON DRAGONBA… Ahem, sorry.

North America
We have a feeling it could be close this week, as both variants are pretty awesome. In the North American design, our protagonists form the bulk of the composition on the left and right, while various creatures can be seen in the background.
The environment in the far background rounds out quite nicely, making foreground poses look even more dynamic. A very nice thing.
Japan
The Japanese design is similar (and, apparently, the original), but here there is a slightly lighter, more stylized tone. With portrait orientation, the characters are in slightly different positions with slightly different poses, and the creatures in the background are slightly changed.
The background setting is perhaps the most relatable aspect of the piece, but even that replaces most of the detail seen in Western design with cleaner colors and simpler illustrations.
